Meet Sarah
Sarah Elliott was born in upstate New York during the Blizzard of ’78; this cold introduction to the world might explain her life-long attachment to flannel pajamas and all things warm and snuggly.
After a middling high-school career (she was more interested in horses than studying) she attended Smith College, where she majored in English and minored in art history. She was captain of the equestrian team, but beyond that she was woefully inactive. Mostly she ate a lot of waffles and drank a lot of Diet Coke.
Not knowing exactly what to do upon graduation, she ended up teaching first grade, where she became very good at papier mâché and crowd control. The best part of her job was the laminator, but even still, she wanted something more. At night and on weekends—to the detriment of all cooking and cleaning—she began to write Reforming the Rake, her first Regency romance.
Being a pragmatic sort, she knew that the writing thing might not work out and she’d need a Plan B. So, in 2003, she moved to London to get a master’s degree in art history. There she remains.
She has published four books and is hard at work on her fifth. She enjoys traveling, cooking, antique furniture, window-shopping, and people watching. She and her English husband divide their time between London and Sussex. |
